Australia’s biggest open mic comedy competition!

RAW Comedy has been uncovering next gen Australian comedians for decades. All you need is five minutes of original comedy material, and to sign up for a heat near you. The best of the bunch will earn a spot at the RAW Comedy National Grand Final during the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. The winner will receive a trip to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and cements their place in Australian comedy history.

RAW Comedy has marked the start for countless comedy legends, including Aaron Chen, Hannah Gadsby, Ronny Chieng, Anne Edmonds, Bron Lewis, Sam Campbell, and loads more. So many winners, finalists, and alumni have gone on to tour their comedy around the world, write for television and movies, and build massive online followings – and it all started with a sign-up.
